Vintage Finds
December 9, 2009
So I finally stumbled into POSH on State and Ontario this past weekend and fell in love! Vintage hotel and restaurant ware from the 40s and 50s! I only found out too late that you can register there! Just in case you are dying for some commercial strength dining ware, head down to POSH for the best picks! I’m buying piece by piece of some great, huge salad bowls! But I pretty much want everything in the store:
Oh man! Posting all these pictures definitely makes me want to go back up there and buy some more plates! But they also have great vintage gift items! Definitely getting this to give away for Christmas:
Plus they have super cute little cheese accessories, and if you are like me and pretty much eat four servings of cheese each meal then these will surely be on your list:
Stop by and get your one of a kind vintage dining ware and get some gifts for other people, too!

Good Ending to a Bad Week…
November 12, 2009
Word around town is that it’s a bad week. Everyone I’ve talked to has had something potentially horrifying happen to them this week. If you are one of the lucky few to have been left out of this evil trick, this post definitely still pertains to you. My computer crashed and now they are telling me that I need to wipe my hard drive to fix the problem (which really isn’t fixing the problem it’s a work around because they don’t know how to fix the problem, but that’s a whole different story…) so this could be goodbye to all the great things that are on my computer…but instead of being a big ball of negativity let’s all go out and buy something. I swear it works. Every time something bad happened this week I went out and spent a little money, added some things to my closet, treated myself to Chipotle, etc…who says money doesn’t buy happiness? I definitely felt better after walking around in new shoes after a bad day…
You know what makes you feel even better than buying stuff for yourself? Buying for other people. I love buying gifts for people (I have a problem keeping the gifts secret until the holiday, but that’s a different issue…). So if you are in need of some locally crafted gift purchasing, please stop by 1154 Lill’s Holiday Market this Saturday at 1511 W 38th Street (38th & Ashland) from 9-5.
You’ll catch a couple limited edition sweaters from me…yes I said sweaters. It’s a sneak peak of Fall 2010 in sweater form…stop by on Saturday to walk away with one of your own! Additionally, you’ll see some summer samples marked down as well as some great holiday dresses! See you there!

Hoosier Mama…
October 30, 2009
So…I’m a little sad because I just called over at Hoosier Mama Pie company to see if they had any small sized chicken pot pies left and they don’t! I’ve been obsessing over the amazingness since I ordered one last week! Oh my gosh…the best chicken pot pie you’ll ever have in your life!
Additionally, I don’t think they realize that their business is how I get friends. Every meeting I have outside the office I bring a Hoosier Mama Pie and people like me…
Don’t forget to order your holiday pies early! They are so good and absolutely amazing and everyone that works in the shop is the nicest person in the world! Plus they serve Metropolis Coffee…excellent with your pie!
Next up to try is the quiche!

Custom Shoes!
October 29, 2009
So I was at StyleMax this weekend and discovered the best thing in the world, next to cheez-its, Richard Dean Anderson, and chocolate covered bacon: custom shoes!
Meet Ann Roth- footwear designer extraordinaire. We were destined to meet because her shoes and my dresses so nicely compliment each other that it’s really a match made in heaven and I can’t wait to order a bunch of new shoes! Here’s some of her amazing designs:
I just can’t believe I didn’t find out about her amazing shoes until now! Oh my gosh…I don’t know which ones to get first!
