Despite a little hiccup with the tea and coffee yesterday, the show was amazing! It was so great to be working with such wonderful models, ballerinas, interns and of course my husband and parents who did pretty much everything! Thank you for coming out yesterday! I’m so excited to announce that you can customize your dress online. You can pick from four necklines and four skirts to create 16 different dresses. Additionally there are ten new fabric prints online so that is 160 different options! Start designing today!

After 8 years of living here and constantly missing opportunities to meet famous people (had to work the days they were filming Batman, Tom Hanks showed up at a restaurant the day after I ate there, etc) I finally met someone famous!
Yesterday the Designers in Residence for the Chicago Fashion Incubator were present a press conference that introduced Tommy Hilfiger as the Master Designer for the Chicago Fashion Incubator. It was really great to be a part of such an exciting opportunity for everyone involved in Chicago Fashion.

That’s me on the left with my eyes closed (nice, right?) and I’m standing next to Tommy Hilfiger. Next to him is Cynthia Ryba, another DIR, and then Terry Lundgren, the president of Macy’s. Next to him is another DIR, Anna Hovet. So there’s proof that I indeed met someone famous yesterday!
